LOOPY GEAR'S FOUNDER
Loopy Gear was founded by Nicole Bartet Lofald, a mom, wife, designer, and artist. She spent six years working at Disney as both a Design Team Sketch Artist and a WebPDM Administrator. She was an integral part in streamlining their costuming manufacturing process in Florida, California, and Paris. Additionally she spent several years freelancing as a costume designer, artist and most recently, as an Adjunct Teacher of Fashion Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. This experience in the corporate world, freelance world and teaching world gave her the knowledge, skills, and courage to create and grow her own company. Nicole is thrilled to be able to combine her skills with her love and want to have happy, kind and loving babies and kids with her products.
It all started 8 years ago with a
3 month old and the Loopy.
"It might seem incredible, but The Loopy was invented by then three month old Luc Lofald! Baby Luc would be given a rattle, play with it for five seconds, stare his mother directly in the eyes and throw it to the dirty ground. He would giggle. Sure, he loved to watch his toy fall, but he had something bigger in mind. He knew that his mother, Nicole Bartet Lofald, would tolerate washing his toy and repeating the cycle only so many times! He needed her to invent a stylish and functional way to keep his rattle close at hand and off the ground and this is the only way he could think to teach her. Drop. Mom washes the rattle. Drop. Mom looks at Luc. "I think she's got it!", Luc says to himself. Mom breaks out her sewing machine. The Loopy was born! Since that fateful day Luc's invention has been loved by moms and babies all over the world and has blossomed into a growing company. Luc is proud, shared his wisdom with his younger twin siblings and now shares his wisdom of Loopys with all new babies he meets...and everyone’s a bit more Loopy now."
THE CREW...has since grown!
I've been married now for 10 years and have three kids (which include a set of twins!). While I no longer have little babies, I love to spend time with my friend's and family's babies, as well as teach yoga to babies, toddlers, kids, tweens and teens.
